Still crazy busy in my life, but I have at least planned most meals for a few weeks!
So, 10 years ago or so, our scrapbooking pal, Crystal, got engaged. A few us girls got together and made her an album…
Here was what I sent out in our group….too funny looking back on it now, but it was a great idea!
Crystal‘s Wedding Gift
OK! First of all, I was using the old roll call for e-mail addresses, so if I’ve skipped some folks you know about or I have the wrong e-mail address (I guess I’ll know if this message bounces back!), please forward this to them and have them e-mail me if they’re interested! I was thinking we could do a wedding book for Crystal…something simple. Maybe just journaling and then include a picture of yourself or something on your page, so Crystal knows who you are! Do whatever – words of advice, wedding quotes, song lyrics, a poem…WHATEVER! I will be more than happy to put this together, I just need to get some input about what size we should make the book! I don’t have any albums, but I can hand make a cover for the album if I need to! So, any suggestions and who wants to participate? Please respond to my e-mail address, so I can keep it organized! Thanks!

It’s great to see how my scrapping style has changed in time! Do you ever go back and look at your old scrap projects? How do you feel about them now?
Our day was SO BUSY yesterday! Last month, we were just scheduled to head to my oldest son’s high school graduation (about an hour and a half away) – he does not live with us. He lives in a group home and has thrived very well in that environment (versus the traditional public school system).
A few weeks ago, however, I was informed that my 16 year was selected (out of a pool of 8 students) to represent her high school at a drawing for a free car in our school district (of 16 high schools). So, yesterday morning, we went to that before heading out to the graduation.
And.she.WON!!! A brand new car! WOW! I mean, it wasn’t like we were really expecting her to win…that is just not the kind of luck we have. She is a great kid and does deserve it, though! Active in extra-curricular activities, good grades, perfect attendance, not a problem child at all!
And.he.GRADUATED. Along with our “inherited” other kiddo there, Dusty!
I am one PROUD but TIRED mama!
We are STILL using existing inventory from our freezer, but I have been experimenting with a few freezer plans as I’ve ran across them, like this one from MommySavers.com and this one from Mommy’s Fabulous Finds – makes 33 meals!
Monday: Spaghetti, Corn, Garlic Bread (made from leftover hot dog buns) & Mandarin oranges
Tuesday: Chicken & Black Bean Chili
Friday: Lazy Lasagna Chili
Saturday: Chicken Spaghetti; Corn
Sunday: We’ll be out of town, celebrating Senior Sunday for my oldest son (mixed emotions about that…)
Hope you all have a great week!
